Globe Telecom recently released its own Android Phone in the market in an apparent bid to counter SMART Netphone 701. Globe’s android phone is called Globe Cloudfone Ice, which is a re-branded Huawei U8500 and you can get it for free with Globe’s PowerSurf Plan 499. You can also purchase the Globe CloudFone Ice as a prepaid kit for the price of Php4,990.

The Globe Cloudphone Ice is cheaper compared to SMART Netphone 701 but if you will compare the specs the Netphone is much superior. Globe Cloudphone Ice is a touchscreen candy bar phone that weighs 115g. It has a 3.2″ display (320×480 pixels) running on Android 2.1 and has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G/HSDPA, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio and 3.2MP camera with up to 32GB storage via microSD card.
